Shooting Incident at OSU During Homecoming Weekend
During the early hours of Sunday morning, a shooting incident at Oklahoma State University?s Carreker East dormitory left three individuals injured. The shooting occurred as students returned to the dorm from an off-campus party that took place the previous night. At least one of the victims is confirmed to be an OSU student. The OSU Police Department responded to the scene around 3:40 a.m., and the injured were transported to hospitals in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. While details regarding the suspect and motive remain unclear, the incident coincided with the university's homecoming festivities, which attracted large crowds for the football game between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Cincinnati Bearcats. This year?s homecoming celebration is particularly significant as it marks the tenth anniversary of a tragic parade attack in 2015, which resulted in multiple casualties. The community is left shaken as they navigate this unsettling event amidst a time meant for celebration.
